Ministers and government representatives from across Europe gathered in the Budapest Parliament last Friday 22 June to debate the future of EUREKA and witness the advances made by the initiative under Hungarian Chairmanship (July 2011-June 2012). It was also an opportunity to welcome the Republic of Montenegro as the latest full member of EUREKA. Canada was also announced as the second Associate Country - and the Republic of South Korea, the last country to associate to EUREKA, had its status renewed at the meeting.
The Ministerial Conference closed with the formal handover of the Chairmanship to the Republic of Turkey.
