Governments of Canada and Israel move forward on collaboration in technology innovation

Representatives from the Governments of Canada and Israel were in Ottawa, Ontario on 24 July 2012 to deliver on their commitments made during the Canada-Israel Technology Innovation Summits held in 2010 and 2011. Proposals for research and development projects in priorities area such as water, renewable energy and brain-related research, can now be submitted by Canadian and Israeli companies.
 
This collaboration is a result from the meeting between Canada’s Prime Minister and the Prime Minister of Israel in May 2012. This will be the first Canadian initiative under EUREKA. Proposals will be submitted through the EUREKA National Offices for Canada and Israel, which will provide guidance and approval for projects. Eligible projects will be funded by both countries.
