Sweden and Switzerland launch joint call for EUREKA projects

date of publication > 22-October-2012

The recently-created Swiss-Swedish Innovation Initiative (SWII) builds on the long-time experience of the EUREKA Network to launch a new call for international R&D projects, involving companies and research organisations from both countries. The call conforms with EUREKA’s mission to unlock national funding and channel this important source of financing towards research projects involving partners from different European countries.
The projects will be developed under the frame of the EUREKA initiative and the Eurostars Programme. The call focuses on developing innovative products within medical technologies, biotechnologies and innovative software, and applications must be submitted before 4 March 2013.
Eligible partners are invited to present joint proposals for innovative R&D projects according to the following procedures:
  • The consortium should include at least one small or medium-sized enterprise (SME). Other partners such as large companies, research institutes and universities are welcome as additional participants.
  • The project should have an obvious advantage resulting from the cooperation between the participants from the two countries.
  • The project should demonstrate the contribution of the participants from both countries in a balanced way, and must be equally significant to both participants.
More information on the Switzerland-Sweden joint EUREKA call is available on the SWII’s website.
