Second annual Young Innovators Unconvention held in Brussels

date of publication > 10-June-2013

On June 6th and 7th the second annual Young Innovators Unconvention took place at the EU Parliament and Egmont Palace. The event, partnered with European and American institutions and companies, came together with business leaders and investors to support and guide the young innovators who attended. On the first day, attendees were met with engaging workshops and high-level political discussions on innovation and the future of Europe. Speakers ranged from entrepreneurs and business leaders to MEP’s and US Trade Representatives.

On the second day of the Unconvention, the venue changed to the awe-inspiring setting of Egmont Palace courtesy of the Belgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Those in attendance heard lectures from a wide range of panels and discussions with innovators, pioneers, leaders and experts from the likes of IBM, Skype, the European Space Agency, Microsoft, Siemens and much more. The Inno Pitch Award 2013 was also presented at Egmont Palace to Vidzor, a cloud-based interactive video platform that allows anyone to create and publish interactive videos on the web. Here at EUREKA we are always excited to see the young, unconventional and the innovative, come together with Europe’s leaders to make steps to improve the future. We are very much looking forward to the next Unconvention in 2014.
