date of publication > 04-September-2013

On October 10-11 2013, an Information and Training Seminar on EU cooperation and funding opportunities in research and innovation will be held in Belgrade, Serbia. The Western Balkans region has been participating in various projects within EUREKA even before many countries in the region formally joined in the early 2000s. The latest country to join EUREKA from the region is Montenegro in 2012. The importance of the event and its context of occurring alongside the initiation of Horizon2020 will be marked by the participation of Mr. Pedro de Sampaio Nunes, Head of the EUREKA Secretariat.

Mr. Nunes will speak on the continued opportunities offered by the EUREKA initiative and the Eurostars programme. The event, organized by Europlan UK and the University of Belgrade’s School of Electrical Engineering and School of Mechanical Engineering will be in two parts. First, the general information session in which Mr. Nunes will be speaking and second, the practical training session.
