The European Innovation Council – time to collect ideas

While the number of start-ups created in Europe is on a par with competitors such as the United States, Europe lags behind in disruptive innovation and in scaling start-ups into world-beating businesses. With this in mind, EU Research Commissioner Carlos Moedas launched the idea of a European Innovation Council (EIC) that could contribute to solve the problem.

In a bottom-up approach, the European Commission is now asking all stakeholders for input, and has launched a Call for Ideas  in February 2016. The deadline for responses is 29 April 2016.

In collaboration with its 41 member countries, EUREKA will share its experience on how to shape EIC.
