In an interview with the Spanish news agency EFE Empresas, EUREKA High Level Group Chairman Francisco Marín talks about good practice with the Spanish support instrument Innoglobal and the added value of the Spanish EUREKA Chairmanship.
Innoglobal, launched in 2015, improves financial support of Spanish companies involved in EUREKA projects. With an important rise in participation numbers, the impact of Innoglobal was very visible in 2016.
When asked about the added value of the Spanish EUREKA Chairmanship, Mr Marín stressed the “pull effect” of his Chairmanship by highlighting the importance of Spain experiencing growth. He added that Spain currently has remarkable levels of participation: “We are the fourth country in the EU Research and Innovation Framework Programme Horizon 2020; we are the third country in Eureka, and in some calls we are even second.“
In 2015, Spanish Centre for the Development of Industrial Technology (CDTI) provided over 1B € of direct support to over 1500 projects. CDTI manages the Spanish participation in EUREKA including the responsibility of approving and financing projects.
