To develop a solar power system floating on water and to demonstrate how it can bring a substantial decrease in electricity production costs. Key elements are concentration of solar energy on solar cells and an innovative cooling system using water as a cold source.
In the proposed project the production line for an energy efficient evaporator will be developed and tested. The new type of evaporator which will be manufactured on this line will be 25% cheaper and more energy efficient. It will use 20% less energy to produce the same results as existing ones.
To develop and demonstrate prototype production equipment for an economically viable module assembly line, which is suitable for high handling yield and high throughput of thin and high-efficiency solar cells, and which is ready to be put on the market at project-end.
Developing metal offset plates for conventional printing presses designed for ink jet ctp (computer to plate) imaging using off the shelf ink jet printers. The plates pre-press preparations are process-less, chemistry-free and daylight, mid-high quality printing - 175lpi stochastic, 20,000 copies.
Within the cooperative project extreme, a holistic concept is developed - specifically focusing on smes - to continuously identify and plan organisational and technical measures to improve energy and resource efficiency in manufacturing and to assess the realisable impact.
The proposal aims towards the significant improvement of current csp technology using power tower plants working with solar hybrid combined cycles. 1 major challenge on this way is the development of high temperature solar receiver capable to reliably withstand temperatures of up to 1,000 degrees c.
To develop the technology needed by graphic communication industry to enlarge their current pure print offer to new services focused on the delivery of content through multiple channels (traditional print, digital print, web, mobile, ebook, tv, etc. ) Demanded by an increasingly digital world.
In cooperation airec and bekaert develop and introduce to an international oem-market a system with hex and burner for gas fired instantaneous water heaters with large advantages as: higher condensing efficiency, quicker heating process, low nox, reduced co2-emissions and a compact design.
The project is aiming at developing environment prompt, easy to access and transparent to use energy efficiency monitoring system used for energy consumption and efficiency monitoring.
The project deals with optimisation of forming processes for sheet metal part production. Decrease of used energy and minimisation of environmental burdening are main objectives achieved by process design, material optimisation, increased adaptability of the tooling, and tribological conditions.
