Electronics Goes Green 2012+

Sep 9, 2012 to Sep 12, 2012
Berlin (Seminaris Dahlem Cube) / Germany

This event, organised by Fraunhofer IZM and Technical University Berlin, is a forum for discussion on electronics and the environment. Leading technology experts and eco-designers will meet for four days of lectures, workshops and networking on this important topic.

Keynote presentations will be held by high-profile stakeholders representing views beyond the standard industrial perspective. Hans-Joachim Otto, Parliamentary State Secretary of the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology, will present the opening keynote on Green IT energy efficiency for systems.

This year’s conference slogan, “Taking green to the next level”, addresses all stakeholders in the electronics value chain, with their differing needs and the challenges they face. One focus of the event is on resource scarcity and its effect on electronics manufacturing.

The congress will include an exhibition of best practice products, where participants can get a hands-on look at all the latest in green technology and have a chance to meet with the developers and manufacturers of tomorrow’s technology today.

Special events now include celebration of the 5th anniversary of the "StEP - Solving the E-waste Problem" initiative.
