Funding in Germany
The German funding sector provides a wide range of support schemes on federal as well as on regional level. A specific earmarked budget for EUREKA projects is not intended. Funding schemes address in most cases industrial as well as academic partners, nevertheless there might be specific programme/call requirements, e.g. type of organisations accepted, size of consortium, project period. Funding rates and maximum levels of funding depend on the programme/call. Interested parties are requested to check thoroughly the details provided with the respective descriptions.

Funding contactProjektträger AiF Projekt GmbH | General proceduresThe average processing time for applications is 4-6 months. The funding rate depends on the type and the location of the SME as well as the degree of R&D to be performed. The planned project duration should not exceed 36 months. At least one German sme (according to EU definition); further partners from academia can be accepted. Not applicable for companies not complying with the sme definition.
