Funding in Greece

The "Greek EUREKA Office" launches the programme calls. In these calls SMEs, Universities and Research Organisations are eligible to participate. The "Greek EUREKA Office" endorses and funds the Greek partners of the evaluated projects according to the Greek national funding rules.
The Programme includes two specific funding actions:
- Specific Action: "EUREKA"
- Specific Action: "EUROSTARS"

General procedures

Commonness of calls: The EUREKA Secretariat launches the EUROSTARS project calls once a year. Bottom-up approach: open to all technological fields. Project evaluation is conducted at international level. The procedure lasts up to 3 months. Support is given to Greek participants that have submitted a proposal in the framework of the "Eurostars" Programme of the EUREKA organisation.

Restrictions

In addition to the Greek partners, at least one SME from another Eurostars member country and a Greek University or Research Organisations (as a subcontractor) have to be included in the consortium agreement. Foreign partners have to submit the proposal to their respective national EUREKA offices in order for their participation to be approved. The "Greek EUREKA Office" supports only the Greek partners of an approved project. Categories and Project Research Types: 100% Industrial (Applied) Research activities or 100% Experimental Research activities. Project Duration: Up to 24 months.

The procedure lasts 3-6 months. Support is given to the Greek participants in EUREKA projects, including Cluster projects. The "Greek EUREKA Office" endorses the projects that will be funded according to the Greek national funding rules.
