Portugal is a founding member of EUREKA and chaired the initiative in 1997 – 1998 when it launched one of the very first industrial R&D European initiatives in China, under the name of EUREKA – ASIA.
The chairmanship of EUREKA has been given to Portugal for the second time in 2008 – 2009.
The Portuguese office provides support to companies looking for partners and funding in order to set a EUREKA project.
