Project Description
The aim of the GINGER 2000 project is to improve
communications between different European building and
public works engineering companies cooperating on joint
projects at the national or international level; this will
be achieved by developing a common language for use by all
partners. Cooperation will involve exchanging documents
(primarily in electronic form on magnetic, optical or
videotex media), establishing standards and regulations,
developing video-conferencing techniques, etc.
Technological Development Envisaged
The project aims at developing and marketing multi-language
communication processes, transmittal of large-scale plans
and documents, and value-added networks applicable to the
building and public works engineering sector in Europe.
