The effects on the environment caused by emissions from
pollution agents emanating from industrial processes, has
been neglected by Society for far too long. Over the last
few years, due in part to some disastrous events, Society's
will for a strong reduction in the environmental impact
of manufacturing processes has become much more marked.
This will, stronger in some countries, has led some
governments to pass strict laws which impose limitation
values on emissions of pollution agents.
To date Europe has not had an homogeneous law on this
subject, nevertheless the current virtuous cycle to attain a
better quality of life will impose strict laws. These laws
will take into account those that have gone before and
reduce the above-mentioned limits.
