EURIPIDES goes regional in Graz

EURIPIDES held its annual forum in Graz, capital of the Styrian Region, Austria on the 13th of June 2012. This forum highlighted wireless connectivity (RFID, NFC), smart power applications and smart systems for medical applications. More than 150 delegates and stakeholders attended the forum which provided an overview in flexible electronics, medical technologies and smart power technologies. Eleven Euripides partners showcased their running projects but the most impressive session was dedicated to expression of interests –proposals looking for partners- from 34 European companies and research centers. Jean-Luc Maté, Continental and EURIPIDES chairman saw this as a “strong base for making our autumn call a success”.

 

 
The Styrian governor, Mr. Franz Voves held a speech where he reminded the participants that the goal of EURIPIDES is to support cooperation in research and sciences between SMEs but also global companies in Europe, and to help them maintain their competitiveness and productivity on the international markets.
 
This was the first time EURIPIDES “gathered the Smart Systems community in the capital of a regional province”, stressing the importance and commitment of regional clusters and competence and centres to innovation.  Read more here
