The department of International Affairs at OSEO, the host organisation of EUREKA in France, has seen its range of action and staff expand critically as it is now responsible for all international technological collaborations between French companies and organisations located all around the world, in places as distant as Brazil or China.
EUREKA and Eurostars member countries remain of course at the heart of the action of the EUREKA French office.
This recent change reflects the orientations of EUREKA, which under its current Chairmanship sees globalisation as its number one priority. Canada has joined EUREKA as an associated country last month and South Korea has recently renewed its participation in the EUREKA initiative under the same status.
The French EUREKA office will now also collaborate more closely with the FP7 NCP team and the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN), which celebrates now one year of cooperation with EUREKA as a privileged partner under a common memorandum of understanding. Since July 2011, EEN has been essential in supporting EUREKA activities and particularly the Eurostars programme for innovative small companies.
