PSE 2012 - 13th International Conference on Plasma Surface Engineering

Sep 10, 2012 to Sep 14, 2012
Garmisch-Partenkirchen / Germany

With more than 700 participants expected from all over the world, PSE is a well-established and leading forum in the field of plasma as well as ion- and particle-beam assisted surface modification and thin film technologies.

The event, organised in collaboration with E!-SURF,  provides an opportunity to present recent progress in research and development and industrial applications. Its topics span a wide range from fundamentals, through empirical studies, towards the application in industrial production. During the conference on September 13, E!SURF will be organising a brokering event presenting the opportunities offered by EUREKA. Participants will be able to present their project ideas and partnering needs in short, ‘elevator pitch’ presentations.

With numerous industrial exhibitors and an exceptionally large fraction of participants from industry (30 % in 2010), a special feature of PSE is the intimate and vivid interaction between those being involved in basic research and those who have to meet the rapidly increasing demands in industrial production.

Conference topics:

- Plasmas for surface engineering
- Deposition technologies
- Films and coatings
- Properties and characterization of films and modified surfaces

Mr. Lars Pleth Nielsen, the E !-SURF chairman, will present “Solution driven R&D of novel nanostructured coatings meeting industrial demands” during the conference.

On September 13th, 2012, a EUREKA E!-SURF research brokering event and partnering for EU-calls will be set-up at 19:15.
The attendants will be informed about the opportunities offered by EUREKA and E!-SURF, and more importantly, participants will be able to present their project ideas and partnering needs in short, so called ‘elevator pitch’ 3-5 slide presentations.
