EUREKA MEMBER > Switzerland

Switzerland is among the founding countries of EUREKA and chaired the initiative in 1994/1995. With its market oriented bottom-up approach, EUREKA complements both the Swiss innovation promotion system and the thematic calls of the European Framework Programme for Research and Development. EUREKA offers valuable prospects for international collaboration for Swiss industry, especially SMEs.

The Swiss EUREKA office, administrated by the Federal Office for Professional Education and Technology, advises project applicants on all aspects of European collaboration. Eureka Switzerland doesn’t provide dedicated funding for Eureka projects. Instead the projects are matched with a suitable open national funding instrument. Close collaboration is maintained with the main funding agencies in Switzerland. Interested parties download and complete the Eureka application form. Afterwards they contact the Swiss Eureka office to identify the suitable funding instrument.
