SciTech Europe 2012: Broadening Horizons - Creating a Single Market for Knowledge, Research and Innovation

The theme for 2012 is “Broadening Horizons - Creating a single market for knowledge, research & innovation”. A strategic approach to innovation is high on the European agenda, Innovation Union is a flagship initiative aimed at securing Europe’s global competitiveness.
 
'Horizon 2020' is the European Commission financial framework that runs from 2014 to 2020 with an €80 billion budget. Europe’s new programme for research and innovation is part of the drive to create new growth and jobs in Europe. ‘Horizon 2020’ aims to provide major simplification through a single set of rules and it will combine all research and innovation funding currently provided through the different framework programmes.

The conference will provide an opportunity to build new partnerships, strengthen innovation strategies and promote world-class research. Delegates will gain insights into the very latest developments across the European science community and learn how policies are striving to benefit knowledge, prosperity and society at large.
The meeting will bring together leading industry stakeholders, academic experts and key policymakers to outline a collaborative approach to European science, technology and innovation.

The programme includes a main plenary session, nine master classes to choose from & a networking surgery with 30 stands. The main plenary programme involves the most influential names presenting key priorities.
