At a time when the European telecommunications arena needs to move from an infrastructure and connection-driven industry to a services and application driven industry, CELTIC is providing precisely the support European industry needs.

Dedicated to end-to-end telecommunications solutions, CELTIC’s four main working areas are broadband infrastructure, broadband services, optical networks, security and mobile services.

CELTIC’s participants include major European telecommunications companies. Projects are enabling manufacturers such as Alcatel, Ericsson and Nokia and network operators including British Telecom, Deutsche Telekom and Telefonica to undertake both research and development as well as the trial and evaluation of service concepts, technologies and system solutions at the CELTIC’s Pan-European Laboratory.
