EUREKA MEMBER > Croatia

Croatia has been a member of EUREKA since 2000 and is also a member of Eurostars. It has currently 23 running projects including a large number of Small and Medium sized Entreprises as well as Universities. The countries' participation in the network's activities in rapid growth as it had until now 21 completed projects.

Croatia's projects mainly concern the areas of environment, electronics and telecommunications.

Croatia's main objectives concerning market oriented R&D are the following:

• Increasing commercialization of knowledge
• Raising awareness about the value of innovation
• Establishment of knowledge- and technology-based companies
• Transfer of knowledge and technology solutions from science to business
• Development of adequate technology infrastructure
• Creation and development of venture capital industry
• Strengthening cooperation between the scientific and business community
