EUREKA UMBRELLA > EUROAGRI FOODCHAIN

EuroAgri-Foodchain is an international thematic network within EUREKA. Its main objective of EuroAgri-Foodchain is to support the competitiveness of agri-food sector in the participating countries through the promotion of "market-driven" co-operative Research and Technological Development (RTD) projects. EuroAgri-Foodchain being a new umbrella it does not have yet any projects disclosed in the projects section.

EuroAgri-Foodchain is building on the success of its predecessor EUROAGRI (1992-2003) and EUROAGRI+ (2003-2009) by helping utilise innovation and technologies within the agriculture, feed and food sectors to strengthen European competitiveness in this area. Biotechnology, genomics, proteomics, food technology, quality, safety and traceability are new challenges for consideration in the agrifood chain. You can find here projects completed under the EUROAGRI+ framework.

The projects cover the complete chain of valorisation of agri products towards first of all food followed by valorisation towards pharma, fine and bulk chemicals and energy applications.
