The latest Eurostars Programme call for applications opens on 9 July 2026, offering access to public funding for innovative SMEs leading international R&D projects with strong commercial potential. Applications for this innovation funding opportunity close on 10 September 2026 at 14:00 CEST.
Eurostars supports small- and medium-sized enterprises developing new products, processes or services through collaborative research and development. To apply, each consortium must be led by an innovative SME and include at least two independent organisations from at least two Eurostars countries.
The programme helps SMEs access public funding for market-oriented R&D, reduce technical and commercial risk, build international partnerships and bring innovations closer to market. Funding is provided through national and regional funding bodies, with eligibility rules, funding rates and eligible costs varying by country.
“Eurostars is a great opportunity to bring organisations together from across the world, helping them succeed, scale up and address societal challenges through international innovation,” said Brit Helle, Director General of Eureka Network.
In the most recent call, Eurostars supported 110 innovation projects involving 328 organisations across 28 countries. Applicants should prepare now by checking national funding rules, confirming consortium eligibility, refining their project proposal and submitting via the Eurostars project platform before the September deadline.
