Investment Readiness
Turkish Airlines – Online Session
The Investment Readiness Programme (IRP) is part of the European Partnership on Innovative SMEs. The partnership is co-funded by the European Union through Horizon Europe.
How to participate
Eureka is delighted to continue its collaboration with Turkish Airlines through the Eureka Investment Readiness Programme.
Join the session with Turkish Airlines on 15 September, 10:00 to 10:45 CEST to learn from Murat Can Demir, Startup Programs and Ecosystem Manager, how you can work on the Turkish Airlines Terminal ‘Ecosystem Discovery Program’.
The challenge
Ground handling operations rely heavily on manual coordination and physical labor. This includes processes such as baggage handling, loading and unloading, transfer processes, equipment and vehicle management, operational decision-support mechanisms, and airside movements. Robotic and autonomous system technologies can render them more efficient and traceable.
Therefore, Turkish Airlines is looking for innovators working on the following items:
- Autonomous vehicles and mobility solutions for apron and ground handling processes
- Retrofit-based autonomy for currently used vehicles
- Robotic systems, particularly humanoid robots, that can support baggage operations, loading/unloading, and physical airside tasks
- Humanoid solutions for specific operational steps that are repetitive, require on-site support, or require physical presence.
Apply to their challenge after the session for a chance to discuss collaboration with them.
The session is ideal for companies at TRL 6 and above. Companies should be willing to test their solution within Turkish Airlines operations and develop a pilot project in collaboration with the relevant teams.
