Horizon 2020, the financial instrument implementing the Innovation Union is the biggest EU Research and Innovation programme ever with nearly €80 billion of funding available over 7 years (2014 to 2020).
After a strong start, the programme is beset with questions about its future:
- Will its overall, annual budget be cut in this year’s EU funding review?
- How will it apportion the budget remaining?
- How can it deal with the continuing tide of grant applications?
- And is it, in fact, having any impact on the innovation landscape in Europe?
The 4th edition of the conference will focus on these questions...
The participants will have the opportunity to have the feedback of high level speaker like Carlos Moedas, EU Commissioner for Research and Innovation, Robert-Jan Smits, Director-General, Directorate-General for Research and Innovation, and Gunnar Bovim, Rector, NTNU.
