Do you have an innovative idea in the domain of Software innovation, with a clear focus on business impact? Whether you are working for a Large company, Research organisation, university, customer organisation or an SME…
ITEA 3 may be the ideal R&D&I programme for you!
ITEA is the home of software innovation, enabling an international and knowledgeable community to collaborate in funded projects that turn innovative ideas into new businesses, jobs, economic growth and benefits for society. ITEA stimulates innovation projects in a global, trusted community and its bottom-up project creation ensures that these are industry-driven and based on actual customer needs and focussed on impact. Impact is one of the core values in ITEA: impact on business, economy and society and it is central during the project lifecycle. ITEA provides full-cycle project monitoring to improve quality and value creation of projects. Like all EUREKA Clusters, ITEA is publicly funded on a national level. An early dialogue between project teams and Public Authorities supports the best possible opportunities for project funding.
ITEA projects involve between 40 and 350 person years, and typically last up to three years.
Annual call for projects
Each year, ITEA issues a Call for project proposals, starting with a two-day brokerage event. In a two-stage procedure, the quality of the project proposal is evaluated and improved, finally leading to a selection of high quality project proposals that receive the official ITEA label. The ITEA label provides project partners with the possibility of applying for public funding from their national authorities.
Important deadlines Call process ITEA 3 Call 5:
- Submission deadline Project Outline (PO): 30 October 2018 (17:00hrs CET)
The PO gives a short overview of a project, mainly to describe the project goals, innovation, targeted business impact and consortium. Project Outlines which are positively evaluated are invited for the second stage:
- Submission deadline Full Project Proposal (FPP): 14 February 2019 (17:00hrs CET)
The FPP describes the project plan and how the project will be executed and managed. Approved FPPs will receive the ITEA label
Project consortia need to have at least two different partners from two different countries, of which one must be a EUREKA Member Country and another one either a EUREKA Member Country or a EUREKA Associated Country.
ITEA Project Outlines and Full Project Proposals will be evaluated and selected according to the following criteria:
- Relevance to the ITEA Programme
- Expected impact
- Project management and work plan
- Effort justification
- Contacts with Public Authorities
The ITEA label is endorsed by all EUREKA Member Countries and financial support can be provided according to national funding procedures. In order to prepare a successful proposal, you need to be aware that there may be significant differences in funding procedures. You must therefore make sure that your project proposal fits within national public authorities' priorities and funding rules before you submit it to ITEA.
ITEA Office provides contact details for various national funding contacts which support and coordinate the funding of ITEA projects (the ITEA Authorities Committee - ITAC).
For countries not represented in ITAC, you should contact the appropriate EUREKA National Project Coordinator.
