This conference, organised by Science|Business, is focussing on R&D strategy for the future.
As the European Commission is starting to draft its next R&I Framework Programme 9, this event will offer a unique opportunity to debate policy options for the future.

The conference will bring together corporate executives, university administrators and policy leaders from all over Europe and from all sectors/disciplines to:

  • Debate how will Brexit – who’s ‘in’ and who’s ‘out’? – affect research strategies, for the public and private sector?
  • Discuss among peers the Commission's newly prepared scenarios for the future
  • Analyse how they will affect R&D strategies of companies, universities and governments
  • Deliver recommendations on how the EU should shape its own R&I programmes for the future

The agenda will include scenarios for Security, Health, Energy, ICT and workshops on cross-cutting issues on which groups will compare notes from the morning discussions and draft a comprehensive set of recommendations.

Raising the productivity and competitiveness of European businesses through technology. Boosting national economies on the international market, and strengthening the basis for sustainable prosperity and employment.
