Seas, oceans and poles: How to get more innovation from maritime research?

High-level representatives of academia, industry, EU institutions, governments and foundations will discuss what practical steps should be taken to harness the potential of our marine resources, new marine-related technologies, international partnerships and research infrastructures - to support the EU “blue” economy.
The outcome of the debate: a set of policy recommendations on how the EU could unlock more innovation from seas, oceans and poles.

Confirmed participants include John Bell, Director for Bioeconomy, and Sigi Gruber, Head of Unit for Marine Resources, DG Research and Innovation, European Commission.
Other participants will include MEPs, foundations, DG MARE, and representatives of the Network.
