Iceland is one of the very first members of EUREKA, since 1986.
The objectives of EUREKA Iceland are the following:

To excel in technology research, product development, analysis and testing.
Partnership and cooperation with universities, businesses and government-backed operations is viewed as the key to success in all activities of the EUREKA office/Innovation Center Iceland. The Center strives to maintain strong ties with local and international businesses and institutions in order to succeed in fostering innovation and applied research in Iceland and ensure technology transfer and development cooperation.
