All complete applications meeting the terms and conditions of participation will be assessed by Malta Enterprise in accordance with the following criteria: 

a. Projects should: 

• be carried out in collaboration with at least one undertaking from the EUREKA member states (in addition to the Maltese participant); 

• provide technological innovation, which must be above the current international state-of-the-art levels; 

• be market oriented, such that, the results of the R&D lead towards a marketable product that has a ‘civilian' (non-military) purpose; 

• have a clear scope and objectives that are of strategic importance to the enterprise; 

• lead to the acquisition of knowledge and technological achievements; 

• result in growth through increased investment, employment and market penetration. 

b. Capacity to implement - Applicants that demonstrate the right capacity to implement the proposed project will score better - Malta Enterprise will assess the internal HR available (i.e. quantum and skills), knowledge and know-how and also the capacities of the applicant to engage further resources (including financial resources) as may be required. 
Applicants will be notified in writing of the outcome of their application.
