Eurostars is part of the European Partnership on Innovative SMEs. The partnership is co-funded by the European Union through Horizon Europe.

Romanian funding body, the Executive Agency for Higher Education, Research, Development and Innovation Funding (UEFISCDI), funds R&D costs for SMEs participating in our Eurostars programme (within the limit of budgetary funds allocated to PNCDI III by the State Budget Law for 2021).

UEFISCDI covers up to 70% of project costs in grants for small companies and up to 60% of project costs in grants for medium-sized companies.  

Universities and research institutes are eligible as project partners.

The maximum funding amount is a grant of 140,000 euro per project per year.

As a Romanian university or research organisation, you could receive a grant covering 100% of your project costs. 

The maximum funding amount is a grant of 140,000 euro per project per year. 

Universities and research organisations must have a Romanian company in your consortium to be eligible to receive funding.
