Eurostars is part of the European Partnership on Innovative SMEs. The partnership is co-funded by the European Union through Horizon Europe.

South African funding body, the Department of Science and Innovation (DSI), funds R&D costs for SMEs participating in our  Eurostars programme.  

DSI covers up to 80% of project costs for SMEs. 

The maximum funding amount is a grant of 300,000 euro per project. 

The exact funding amount for your project will be decided through a financial negotiation process with DSI. You will receive funding in tranches according to the project duration.
