Ecobogie is a novel bogie that will deliver environmental benefits for freight vehicles by decreasing noise emissions by at least 10 db and reducing mass by up to 1000 kg per bogie thus reducing the carbon foot print and track damage and increasing the capacity of existing rail infrastructure

Hierarchical sandwich honeycombs are a new class of sandwich core materials. They have the potential to outperform other sandwich cores due to a better mechanical performance per weight to enable lower weight structures and parts.
