The project will focus on testing natural serbian and croatian zeolites for their use in the removal of toxic zinc, chromium, copper and arsenic from waste and drinking water. The performance of natural zeolites and synthetic zeolite a produced in slovenia will be compared.
The goal is the development and implementation of a reliable, cost-effective tailor-made wastewater technology train with a focus on the removal of specific substances in order to regulate wastewater treatment policy.
The advanced system for purification of drinking water will be developed and tested. The pilot system will be constructed and used to prepare for transfer to production. The system will be based on recent achievements in nanotechnology and research in the field of denitrification of ground water.
