To exploit silver's properties to give antimicrobial, antistatic and thermo-regulating properties to textile materials. Either silver-containing yarns or novel finish formulations will be applied to this effect.
The main objective of the project is the development of novel multifunctional textile structures that include biological active compounds extracted from plants, to prevent the spreading of infectious diseases like borreliosis and other tick-borne bacterial diseases.
