Frequency conversion into the deep-uv requires crystal material with superior properties regarding minimal absorption, high damage threshold, and nonlinear response. The project aims at improved control of uv crystal growth/processing and their application in enhancement cavities for cw regime.
With the medis project (modular hospital trunking system), they want to produce a user-friendly product, which will in addition to providing perfect lighting also enable a more comfortable living for the patient and an easier health care performance for the health care personnel.
