Innovative lithium-ion system management design for mw solar plants

the consortium proposes : (i) to develop an innovative system architecture enabling to manage safely, reliably and cost-efficiently mw lithium-ion battery systems; (ii) to develop power conversion and control system unit for connection to pv solar plant; (iii) to manufacture a scale one prototype with 0.75 mwh/ 1 mw characteristics; (iv) to test this complete system in-situ at scale 1:1 in an existing solar power plant; (v) to assess, based on test results, the technical and economical benefits of the technology in this application; (vi) to extrapolate test results to evaluate the applicability of the technology to other variable res. This will be, to our knowledge, the first test of lithium-ion at mw range in a solar power plant.).
