Transformation of vehicle in filter-mobile

The tvifim is a self cleaning filter-ionization device additionally installed in public transportation and delivery vehicles, which extends the function of these vehicles to cleaning and refreshing the polluted air above the city roads.

1. What do you want to do? Motor vehicles of different categories are amongst the biggest air polluters, especially in urban areas and transit zones, with maximum gas emission levels at low vehicle speeds, slow jammed lanes, in front of traffic lights, etc. Emitted pollutant gases above the city roads have their maximum concentration at a height of 0.7m from the surface of the road. Pollutant gases are particularly intensified over the city roads located in the so-called street canyons (streets separating dense blocks of buildings). Lack of fresh air above the city roads is also a consequence of the presence of positively charged pollutants in the air and their binding to the negative ions of air, i.e. oxygen. Since motor vehicles are intended for providing transportation for people and goods, the project TVIFIM aims at expanding the function of these vehicles to filtering and refreshing of the air above the city roads. 2. Why and how do you want to do it? For this, the first group of potential filter-ionization system users is identified: vehicles for public transportation (buses) and delivery vehicles, very frequently used in urban areas. The first task of the TVIFIM - Transformation of Vehicle in Filter-Mobile project is installing the self-cleaning filter system in those vehicles with the goal of filtering the air above the city roads. The other important task of the TVIFIM project is to install a continuous generator of negative ions of air, i.e. oxygen, into the vehicles with a goal to increase the freshness of the air above the city roads. In a simplified and figurative sense, the synergistic action of the ionizing and filtering system will create the conditions for a vehicle of public transportation to have the properties of evergreen trees. From the environmental point of view, transforming a motor vehicle into a filter-mobile represents a great opportunity for expansion, if we take into account the daily circulation of motor vehicles through the city and suburban areas. When it comes to the power consumption for running the TVIFIM system on a vehicle, besides the existing electrical energy of the vehicle (already used for different auxiliary systems), an additional renewable source of solar energy will be applied, by installing a small solar panel on the roof of a bus or delivery vehicle. In that sense, when the vehicle is parked, “free of charge” negative ions of oxygen will be emitted and dissipated around the vehicle. It is characteristic that motor vehicles even in parking lots pollute the environment by emitting hydrocarbons, so the TVIFIM system has a useful function even in the parking lot because it uses solar energy for its its operation. Accordingly, bus stations would also be fresher and healthier if we take into account the antiviral and antibacterial properties of negative ions of oxygen. On the other hand, when the vehicles are in motion, emitting of negative ions of air under the vehicle leads to an interaction with the positively charged pollutant particles, resulting in their neutralization or indirectly increasing of air freshness. Installing of the specified ionizing and filtering TVIFIM system can be in the front and/or rear of the vehicle, depending on the vehicle structure, chassis geometry and position of existing components. Technical characteristics of TVIFIM system: - Power supply, 12V; - The average power of the system, 25W; - Minimum flow filtration, 1200m ^ 3 / h; - The number of ions, minimum10 000 000 ions / cm ^ 3; - Types of filters: combined electrostatic and regenerative chemical. The TVIFIM project will be implemented through synergistic and coordinated efforts of all participants. Advantages of the proposed product / system: - Public transportation vehicles (buses) and delivery vehicles can effectively filter and refresh the polluted air above the roads; - The installed filter system is self cleaning and does not require the intervention of the driver of the motor vehicle; - Operating the filter system does not contribute to an increase in fuel consumption and has an additional source of solar energy; - The possibility of progression of development of this product on passenger and other categories of vehicles. 3. How will you make money? Earning options with implementation of the TVIFIM project can be realized by selling TVIFIM system to ministries, government funds, city governments, associations for environment protection, etc. They may, subject to their jurisdiction, grant TVIFIM systems to different categories of motor vehicles, bus companies and delivery companies for free, through internal public calls for the allocation of TVIFIM systems. This way of purchasing and distribution of TVIFIM systems would allow the Centers for Environmental Protection to be more competitive and effective and this would increase the chances of initiating the appropriate legislation to apply TVIFIM systems in other categories of motor vehicles.
