Development of universal multifunctional iot sensors for various values to be collected and transmitted to the internet and mobile applications. The goal is to develop a solution for industry and for commercial use. Common features are extreme battery life, small size, easy installation and usage.

The content of the project is the research and development of a universal multipurpose sensor, which would allow a wireless collection of many measured values from any point of its installation to the Internet for further data processing and visualization in Internet and mobile applications. This project is a follow-up to the EDMOND E! 9173 Electronic Data Tracking Service for Dangerous Goods Transport, dealt with from 2015 to 2017. At the same time, however, an entirely new platform of wide use is emerging in all areas of industry and the private sector. MultiSensor opens a gateway to a huge IoT customer segment - the Internet of Things. An unprecedented worldwide boom in the industry is expected with sales of many billions of sensory devices that transmit data to the Internet for a variety of purposes. Cars, refrigerators, washing machines, railway carriages, apiaries, rooms in the house, parking spaces, fields, vineyards, etc. anywhere where it makes sense to use sensors to measure, transmit data to other applications, analyze data, increase awareness and efficiency, prevent damage, make our lives easier. This project addresses the specific demand of ČD Cargo, which has shown a serious interest in the MultiSensor. ČD Cargo is demanding external wireless sensors for the GSM and GPS communication units currently supplied by LEVEL. By adding the possibility of connecting any number of external RF sensors placed within the current LEVEL GSM and GPS communication unit’s reach, will create a world-class solution that will be used not only on wagons but also on road transport, warehousing, manufacturing, agriculture and household. Specifically, ČD Cargo is seeking a solution for 15,000 wagons. Each of the wagons will be equipped with a GSM / GPS central monitoring unit, and then the wagon will be equipped with other RF sensors according to the needs of each wagon. These are Bearing Temperature Sensors, Brake System Pressure, Load Temperature & Humidity, Load Sensor, Door/Valve Sensor, Gas Leak Sensor, Axis Speed ​​Sensor, Excessive Shock Sensor, Excessive Axle Vibration Sensor. In extreme cases, the wagon could be equipped with the ability to measure up to 20 values. Our current communication unit designed for wagons has been very successful in the ČD Cargo pilot project, but the possibility of connecting other RF sensors would further increase the comfort and sense of the monitoring solution for all 15,000 wagons. ČD Cargo is demanding this solution for its "Smart Cars" project and it is interested in implementing it in the near future for all wagons. This is documented by the confirmation of the company ČD IS which implements this project for ČD Cargo, see the annex. At the same time, however, we are already negotiating with other railway companies such as PKP Cargo Poland, OBB Austria, SNCF in France, and others who also have a serious interest in the solution. The ambition of this project is to prepare a general solution that meets the requirements of the widest possible portfolio of customers. The result of this project will be more MultiSensor variants, each suitable for another type of use. The common requirements for all types of usage are minimal dimensions, simple installation, wireless design, maintenance-free design, battery life of the sensor for several years, water and dust-tightness, maximum range for wireless transmission - ideally with worldwide reach, transfer of the maximum possible number of values at least for the following quantities: - Ambient temperature/pad temperature - Humidity of the environment - Atmospheric pressure/air pressure on the inlet valve - Vibration/overload/tilt/removal value from the installation site - Value of lighting/illumination - Magnetic field strength/distance from the magnet (door closing/opening, etc.) - Direction of the geomagnetic field - Presence of persons (Infrapassive detection of people) - The presence of gases in the air All recorded parameters are also required to be wirelessly transmitted to the Internet at minimum data transmission costs. On the web server, then, provide archiving and distribution of data to users in the form of alerts, instantaneous measured values, graphs, and user-defined alerts.
