Thermally-insulated sliding roof

Develop a thermally-insulated sliding glass roof which can
be opened, designed for the scandinavian climate and meeting
european thermal insulation requirements. The design is self-
supporting and based on an existing bentech patent.

The purpose behind this application is the development - based on our existing patent - of a waterproof, simple system of sliding glass roofs, designed to fulfil Northern European heat insulation requirements and capable of withstanding not less than those weather conditions, i.e. the Scandinavian type of weather, in the same way as the already existing (patented) design. The roof structure will be self-supporting with a span width up to 4 metres and it will be possible to attach a motor-driven, opening/closing mechanism to it. This design, which will be based on the good results obtained from the existing, non-insulated structure, will be the first of its kind on the market. With automatically controlled sliding roofs, obvious environmental advantages aside, the present need for cooled air in premises with glass roofs will be reduced to a minimum and there will be great savings in running costs.
