Klippan isofix safety system

Development of a new concept for a rearward-facing child safety seat in cars with an isofix attachment for children up to the age of 3.

The aim of this project is to develop a child safety system, hereafter called KISS (KLIPPAN Isofix Safety System). The KISS concept, designed for children under the age of 3, is installed as a rearward facing child seat in the car. The aim is to make the child seat more 'user-friendly' in terms of price, weight and size. The main development will be to make the child seat more 'universal' and easy to fit into a car, which will reduce the chance of incorrect installations and misuse of the product. According to research, over 60% of conventional seats in cars are incorrectly installed. The KISS concept will create new jobs in the E.U. in fields such as development, tool manufacturing and product manufacturing and assembly. It will also improve expertise in the field of child safety in cars, and will give car manufacturers an opportunity to improve child safety in cars. Keywords: klippan isofix, safety, system.
