Worldwide reproducible concept for physical distribution
centres where central facilities are offered of which the
major provision is an integral data and communications
processing system.

TRANSPOLIS is a worldwide reproducible concept for trade centres near intercontinental airports where central facilites are offered of which the major provision is an integral data and communications processing system. The concept consists of two characteristic qualities: 1. Development of a number of strategic, airport-related locations in several European countries, allowing trade of transport-related companies to erect their own facilities. 2. Central facilities will include all kinds of services of which the major one is the trade information system. The information system involves telecommunications, databanks and other sources of information by air, sea, rail and road transport. The information stream can be fed into a broad network so that the consumers can carry out a variety of administrative and contractual work.
