Advanced management system for building constructions and civil works projects

Comprehensive computer system for project management for
building constructions/civil works based on german national
standards/norwegian state-of-the-art information technology.
computerised integration of functions of all project phases.

Establishment of a set of programmes to take care of complete project management functions and documentation: - room programmes - basis for production planning - price bank - production data - estimates - room schedules - specifications - change orders - bills of quantity - requisitions - element method - contractor's invoicing - tender specifications - status reports - bid calculations - economic surveys - tendering control - final settlements - contracts - "as built" documents Project work is started by establishing the Bill of Quantities with specifications, and this will be the basic document of the project. This document will be enhanced with the various phases of project progress: - Price Calculation - Bid Evaluation - Contracting - Time Scheduling - Quality and Progress Control - Control of Project Economy The basic condition for establishing the computer system is primarily the state of the German building market which cannot be satisfied by German industry alone, but calls upon foreign services and products, and secondly, the state of Norwegian Information Technology in Project Management, which is relatively advanced in comparison to German conditions. The aims of the project will be divided into three main steps: a) Development of a computer system based on the most advanced Norwegian technology, adapted to German standards, for project documentation. b) Establishment of competence centres in GERMANY for marketing the system and support of clients. c) Offering systems and services to Norwegian contracting and engineering companies as well as product suppliers which are already established or are establishing themselves in GERMANY. Some of these companies are already ZIOLKO & CO's clients on Norwegian projects.
